About

Over 30 years in New York audio

Over the past 31 years, I have had the privilege of working both freelance and on staff for numerous renowned audio and postproduction studios in New York City. These include Power Station Studios and Sound One. Currently, I am serving as the Vice President of Audio Engineering at PostWorks, a renowned postproduction facility situated in Manhattan. I possess extensive knowledge of all film, television, and music production techniques, encompassing the technical specifications necessary for delivering a finished product for both mediums.

Throughout my career, I have also been involved in electronics manufacturing and installation. In fact, during my college years, I supported myself as a freelance systems engineer. During this period, I constructed several studios and theme park rides, including Soundelux Florida and Universal Studios. In 1991, I fulfilled one of my aspirations by becoming an engineer at the esteemed Power Station recording studios. During my tenure at Power Station, I actively participated in numerous exceptional recording projects. Additionally, I was responsible for the comprehensive system integration of Power Station New England, an exact replica of Studio A located in Waterford, Connecticut. This is also where I met my friend Tony Bongiovi and established a professional relationship that continues to this day.

In 1996, I established Fulwave Audio Services, a company dedicated to the construction and maintenance of studios and the provision of support to mix engineers within the New York City metropolitan area. This endeavor marked the inception of my recognition in the cyber realm as Fulwave.

In 1998, I expanded my responsibilities by becoming a digital systems integrator for AMS/Neve, a prominent audio systems manufacturer headquartered in the United Kingdom. During my tenure at AMS/Neve, I discovered a promising career path in audio postproduction for film and television.

From 1999 to 2007, I served as a systems engineer at Todd-AO / Sound One. During this period, I had the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed mixers, directors, supervisors, editors, and engineers.

In late 2007, I was approached by PostWorks to assume the position of Chief Sound Engineer. In this role, I contributed to the growth of their facility and brand. Today I serve there as Vice President of Audio Engineering.

Despite my professional endeavors, I maintain a diverse range of interests. One of these interests is leading the Engineering and Technology department at Bongiovi Acoustics. One of our key projects involves developing “Studio Quality Sound” for the end consumer through the utilization of DSP, digital signal processing, in a product called DPS, Digital Power Station. This DPS is protected by a worldwide patent, for which I am listed as a contributor. Currently, we have several consumer electronics and software products available on the market, manufactured by companies such as iHome and Toyota.
